Privacy Policy

Effective Date: January 2026 · Last Updated: April 2026

Truscott Insure, doing business as Truscott ("Truscott," "we," "us," or "our"), provides the Truscott mobile app, website, and related services (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use our Services.

By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, account details, insurance-related information, documents you upload, and any messages or requests you send to us.

We may also collect information automatically when you use the Services, such as your IP address, device type, operating system, app version, browser type, usage activity, crash data, and approximate location based on IP address.

We may receive information from third parties such as analytics providers, service vendors, support tools, and insurance-related partners if you request quotes, referrals, or related services.

If you use our digital wallet pass feature, we collect device identifiers, push notification tokens, and authentication tokens necessary to deliver and update your insurance card passes through Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

If you submit information through one of our affiliated blog or informational websites, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, zip code, insurance type of interest, and referral information such as the page URL and campaign identifiers (e.g., UTM parameters).

If you submit feedback through the Services, we collect the feedback message, the page URL from which the feedback was sent, and any screenshot you choose to attach.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

  • provide, operate, and improve the Services;
  • create and manage accounts;
  • review and process uploaded documents and insurance-related information;
  • communicate with you about your account, support, updates, and service notices;
  • respond to quote, referral, or service requests;
  • monitor performance, fix bugs, prevent fraud, and protect security;
  • comply with legal and regulatory obligations; and
  • send marketing communications where permitted by law and subject to your preferences.

3. How We Share Information

We may share your information with service providers who help us operate the Services, including hosting, storage, analytics, communications, customer support, security, and document-processing vendors.

If you add an insurance card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, we share policy-related information (such as your name, policy number, carrier, premium, and coverage dates) with Apple or Google, as applicable, to generate and update your digital wallet pass. Apple and Google may also receive device-level identifiers and push tokens in connection with pass delivery and updates. Their use of this information is governed by their respective privacy policies.

If you request insurance-related assistance, quotes, or referrals, we may share relevant information with licensed agents, agencies, brokers, carriers, or service partners involved in fulfilling that request.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or users, in connection with a merger or business transfer, or with your consent or direction.

4. Document Processing and Automated Features

Some parts of the Services may use automated tools to organize, extract, summarize, or display information from documents or data you provide. These features are intended to assist you, but outputs may not always be complete or error-free. You should review information carefully before relying on it.

The Services may automatically generate digital insurance cards based on the policies associated with your account. These cards are created to help you access your insurance information conveniently. If you choose to add a card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, the relevant policy details will be transmitted to Apple or Google to generate the pass; see Section 3 for more information about this data sharing. Push notifications related to pass updates may be delivered through Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and are subject to your device notification settings.

5. Analytics and Tracking

We may use cookies, SDKs, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Services, understand usage, improve performance, and measure marketing effectiveness.

We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with the Services. Google Analytics collects information such as how often you visit, which pages you view, and what actions you take. Google may use this data in accordance with its own privacy policy. You can opt out of analytics cookies through the cookie preferences banner on our website or by using Google's opt-out browser add-on.

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Data Retention and Security

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information. You may also have the right to opt out of certain marketing communications or certain data-sharing practices.

You can submit privacy requests by contacting us at Privacy@truscott.insure.

You can opt out of promotional emails by using the unsubscribe link in those messages. You may still receive service-related communications.

We may retain certain information where required or permitted by law, including for security, fraud prevention, compliance, and recordkeeping purposes.

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate authorization. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

11. Changes to This Policy
